Golden Hill Vineyards, as lovely as it sounds, is actually a fictitious Napa Valley vineyard and winery that I created in order to give myself an advertising and branding challenge.

 

Challenge

  • Need to create an iconic, luxury logo for a prestigious Napa Valley winery. It shouldn’t be classic like an Italian vineyard nor overly luxurious like a French one, but more open and welcoming in true Californian tradition.

Solution

I was inspired by Napa Valley's down-to-earth, family-owned vineyards and wanted to create a simple and clean logo and identity. The icon was inspired by the patterned hills of vineyards and shades of yellow and orange chosen to represent the warmth and sunniness of the region.
